pRSETAHi, I am using pRSETA vector for cloning. I don't understand why TOP10F' cells are recommended by Invitrogen, instead of TOP10 cells. Why are recA amd endA strain recommended? I can understand that strains with recA+ tend to be more healthy and to grow faster than recA- strains but why endA strain? ...

DNA decay... or incorrect pairing. In bacteria (I'm a bacteriologist, but I know you could find homologous genes in eucaryotes :D ) you could make search on RecA, the Mut gene family, photolyase and probably much more. Hope this help
