pyrargyrite

(Science: chemical) ruby silver; dark red silver ore. It is a sulphide of antimony and silver, occurring in rhombohedral crystals or massive, and is of a dark red or black colour with a metallic adamantine luster.

Origin: Gr. Fire _ silver.
