pyogenic granuloma

granuloma pyogenicum, an acquired small rounded mass of highly vascular granulation tissue, frequently with an ulcerated surface, projecting from the skin or mucosa; histologically, the mass resembles a capillary haemangioma.

Synonym: granuloma telangiectaticum.
