Ptolemaic

ptolemaic

Of or pertaining to Ptolemy, the geographer and astronomer.

(Science: astronomy) Ptolemaic system, the system maintained by Ptolemy, who supposed the earth to be fixed in the center of the universe, with the sun and stars revolving around it. This theory was received for ages, until superseded by the Copernican system.

... if Galileo had been biased by his "presuppositions," as you insist all people are, he would've gone to his grave still believing the Ptolemaic model of the universe. I'm glad we don't live in a world where everyone is as stiff-necked and closed-minded as you seem to think we are.
