prilocaine hydrochloride

2-(propylamino)-o-propionotoluidide hydrochloride;a local anaesthetic of the amide type, related chemically and pharmacologically to lidocaine hydrochloride; used for peridural, caudal, and nerve blocks, and for regional and infiltration anaesthesia.

Synonym: propitocaine hydrochloride.
