Porta pulmonis

noun

A triangular depression on the mediastinal surface of each lung where the bronchus, blood vessels, nerves and lymphatics enter or leave the viscus.

These structures are invested by pleura, which, below the hilus and behind the pericardial impression, form the pulmonary ligament.
