(Science: chemical) A beta-adrenergic antagonist with some agonist activity. Pindolol is used in the treatment of angina pectoris, arrhythmias, glaucoma, and hypertension.

Pharmacological action: adrenergic beta-antagonists, anti-arrhythmia agents, antihypertensive agents, sympatholytics, vasodilator agents.
