About my Biochemistry Assignment

... that if you are being direct, then there isn't much to talk about except for electron donors (NADH and FADH2 in oxidative phosphorylation, H2O in photophosphorylation), electron recipients (O2 in oxidative phosphorylation, NADP+ in photophosphorylation), and of course ATP. (unless there are other ...

Cellular respiration question

Probably your notes do not end as you did, but probably continue with something like "in respiration", right? Photophosphorylation is not respiration.

Cellular respiration question

My biology notes define aerobic respiration as when oxygen is used as a terminal electron acceptor. What I'm wondering is that can oxygenic photophosphorylation, using NAPH as a terminal electron acceptor, still be considered aerobic respiration?

Converting to energy source- glycolysis etc..

... of cells). Independently from this, plant cells also carry out photosynthesis, where water and carbon dioxide are converted into carbohydrates. Photophosphorylation is part of photosynthesis, and it is the step during which light energy is used to create ATP and NADPH. this ATP and NADPH will ...
