(Science: chemical) histamine h1 antagonist with little sedative action. It is used in hay fever, rhinitis, allergic dermatoses, and pruritus.

Pharmacological action: anti-allergic agents, antipruritics, histamine h1 antagonists.

Chemical name: 2-Pyridinepropanamine, N,N-dimethyl-gamma-phenyl-
