Pharynx

(Science: anatomy) It sucks in dirt. The cavity at the back of the mouth. It is cone shaped and has an average length of 76 mm and is lined with mucous membrane. The pharynx opens into the esophagus at the lower end. The passage to the stomach and lungs; in the front part of the neck below the chin and above the collarbone. Opens either the larnyx or the esophagus canal.
