What is the most promising field of study right now

... I take? Should I just go for a regular Master's degree in biology (molecular?) and hope that things work out? My dad suggests me to apply to pharmacy school and go from there because then I would have more knowledge in that applied chemistry field? I'm open to any suggestions, but I just ...
