2. Endowed with parts or abilities.

3. (Science: botany) cleft so that the divisions reach nearly, but not quite, to the midrib, or the base of the blade; said of a leaf, and used chiefly in composition; as, three-parted, five-parted, etc.

Well if your chromosome 4 fail to divide, How do you imagine that the DNA is parted between the 2 daughter cells. Keep in mind that nothing is thrown away... Shouldn't be too hard. Now take a look at how meiosis happens, and try to figure out what would happen ...

Irreducible complexity

... and indeed human cells in general. Can anyone get around this problem for me? Is there a current Darwinian argument as to how complex, multiple parted features like this might have come about? Thanks!
