Humane way of treating mice infestation?

If you were to release a common rodent species of mouse like we have here in AU out into some paddock/ field it will survive no worries, as for killing them humanely I would say just a common old mouse trap would do the trick DON'T use ratsac as it is not only bioaccumulative ...

which can survive better;POLLEN OR SPORES?

Maybe the question needs another question - when and where is the pollen being released? In the middle of a paddock of its own species? Or from an isolated plant?
