2. [Peruv. Paco, pacu, red, reddish, reddish ore containing silver; perh. A different word.

(Science: chemical) An earthy-looking ore, consisting of brown oxide of iron with minute particles of native silver.

Origin: Sp. Paco, fr. Peruv. Paco. Cf. Alpaca.
