PH Scale

(chemistry) p(otential of) H(ydrogen); the logarithm of the reciprocal of hydrogen-ion concentration in gram atoms per liter; provides a measure on a scale from 0 to 14 of the acidity or alkalinity of a solution (where 7 is neutral and greater than 7 is acidic and less than 7 is basic).

Cryonic freezing

... thing that you can actually freeze to -200 or so Celsius (which would be required for any proper cryopreservation), but I'd guess something on a scale of a nematode is already almost as big as you can get with today's technology.

... size or production, etc. I wonder though, would research I can conduct in my own backyard be statistically relevant, or would I need a larger-scale project, like a whole berry farm? Does the idea sound too immature for a grad student's research? I've been out of academia for quite a while ...
