Oxalaldehyde

oxalaldehyde --> glyoxal

(Science: chemistry) A white, amorphous, deliquescent powder, (cO.H)2, obtained by the partial oxidation of glycol. It is a double aldehyde, between glycol and oxalic acid.

Origin: Glycol _ oxalic _ aldehyde.
