A small bone; especially one in the middle ear.Any of the bones in the middle ear. There are three in humans, namely the [[malleus, [[ incus and [[ stapes - also known as the hammer, anvil and stirrup.

INCUS, STAPES AND MACELLUS It's malleusn (hammer), incus (anvil) & stapes (stirrup) :wink: . As I remember, they start vibrating - each ossicle enhances vibration of the next one. More details: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ear
