Results from our forumICZN Naming Rules Help... the new genus Panthera and so the name is now Panthera leo (Linnaeus, 1758) I am assuming that the brackets mean a name change? I want to say Ornithorhynchus anatinus (Shaw) is the second answer but the date is not there. Any advice? Thanks!

Platypus System Survey Are we talking about the Duck-billed Platypus ( Ornithorhynchus anatinus ) here, or something entirely different? Not trying to be rude or anything but I believe there is only one type of platypus, Ornithorhynchs anatinus.
