I need help identifying a plant in my new garden

... It is not the allium because of the straight stock and lack of leaves up the stock. Also in my reading, these can smell like onions. My flower smells floral. And it is not the agapathus because of the little tiny flowers that make up the sphere. And again the lack of leaves ...
