plant biotech- How Rhiobium absorbs N2 from atmosphere?

... with plants and how it converts N2 as Ammonia. My doubt is How it is done? Rhizobium is a soil bacteria and it is a anerobic. .It cause Root Nodules under the soil. . Then, How atmospheric nitrogen is absorbed for N2 fixation ? Plz clear my doubts.

look for work of Frederique Guinel from the University of Waterloo in Canada. She's doing dome gas exchanges in pea nodules, so that might be usefull for you Wilfrid laurier University, not University of Waterloo. Teh campus are 1 km apart, but they are 2 different universities. ...

What different cultivatable soil bacterial species are there

... Some free living Nitrogen fixer can be found in soil like Azotobacter. Rhizobium, which can fix nitrogen better can be found plenty in root nodules of leguminous plants. Some can be isolated in soil but, as I recall, they couldn't fix nitrogen when outside the nodules. Any of the Actinomycetes ...
