night blindness

failure or imperfection of vision at night or in dim light, with good vision only on bright days. Inability to see clearly in dim light; due to a deficiency of vitamin A or to a retinal disorder.A deficiency caused by a lack of [[vitamin A, which is commonly found in vegetables such as carrots. A lack of this in the diet results in the [[membrane of the eye not functioning properly, and in this instance an inability to adapt to changing light conditions.
