neurokinin a

(Science: chemical) A mammalian decapeptide tachykinin found in the central nervous system. It is similar in structure and action to substance p and neurokinin k. The compound has bronchoconstrictor, smooth muscle constrictor, and hypotensive effects and also activates the micturition reflex.
