I would have thought the Brain stem would control pretty much most vital functions but when people break their necks quite high up, their vital organs still function and even if they break their back lower down their lower organs, Intestines, Kidneys, Liver etc ...

3D Glasses for watching 3D Movies

... in Theaters because of the glasses. Many get severe headaches. Tilting one's head while watching polarized 3D will negate the effect so sore necks often happen while watching. How can we rectify this problem ? Thanks & Regards, Prashant S Akerkar

I dont quite think that the evolution of giraffes necks occured at 5 mm per generation otherwise their necks would be far longer than they are now and also because evolution works on genetic variation and mutation (amongst a few other things), so ...

... According to Lamarck, giraffes in the long past had short neck. however, they want to eat leaves from high trees, so they have to evolve their necks longer. Each generation, their neck got a little longer, for example, 5 mm. Remember, Lamarck believe that evolution is a very long progress. ...
