But it's an exam question,so they probably want to know, whether you know that TCA runs aerobically only, althoughit ...

Re: NADH and FADH2

i m gonna answer victor's question.. actually each NADH produced in glycolysis....produces 2 instead of 3ATPs...and it is called substrate level phosphorylation...because oxygen is not involved in it....hence the 2NADHs produced in glycolysis produces ...

FADH2 in the Electron Transport Chain?

... my head wrapped around Cellular Respiration (with many thanks to Khan Academy!). In the Electron Transport Chain, it's my understanding that NADH is oxidised, losing its electrons to the reduction of O to H20. In doing so, it changes to a lower energy state and the excess energy is used to ...

Re:

Oxidation of one molecule of acetyl coA is the one Krebs cycle. In one Krebs cycle, produce 3 NADH, 1FADH2, 1 GTP 1 NADH = 3 ATP x 3 1FADH2 = 2 ATP x 1 1GTP = 1ATP ______________ Total: 12 ATP U have three acetyl CoA = 3 x 12 ATP = 36 ATP / you are still using the 1 NADH ...
