(Science: botany) Of, pertaining to, or resembling, a large and important natural order of trees and shrubs (Myrtaceae), of which the myrtle is the type. It includes the genera eucalyptus, pimenta, Lechythis, and about seventy more.

Origin: L. Myrtaceus.
