Mycosis fungoides

mycosis fungoides

(Science: oncology, tumour) A form of nonHodgkin lymphoma that first appears on the skin (cutaneous T-cell lymphoma). This is a tumour of t lymphocytes that accumulate in the dermis and epidermis and cause loss of the epidermis. A frequent secondary feature is fungal infection of lesions in the skin.
