muscidae

A family of the order diptera with over 700 species. The genera are musca domesticus (houseflies), musca autumnalis (face fly), stomoxys (stable fly), haematobia (horn fly), glossina spp. (tsetse flies), and fannia. Both sexes of the stable fly, horn fly and tsetse fly bite.
