Mullers muscle --> orbitalis muscle

(Science: anatomy) A rudimentary nonstriated muscle, crossing the infraorbital groove and sphenomaxillary fissure, intimately united with the periosteum of the orbit. Its functions are uncertain but its contraction may result in a slight protrusion (forward motion) or prevent a backward motion of the contents of the orbit.

Synonym: musculus orbitalis, mullers muscle, orbital muscle.
