Disease is limited to the western united states, particularly Colorado. The incubation period is 3-6 days. symptoms include fever (that may abate and then recur), sweats, chills, joint pains, headache, photophobia, nausea, vomiting, rash and weakness. treatment includes tick removal and acetaminophen to control fever. The disease is generally self-limited and nonserious. ![]()
