morning glory

(Science: botany) A climbing plant (ipomoea purpurea) having handsome, funnel-shaped flowers, usually red, pink, purple, white, or variegated, sometimes pale blue.

Synonym: ipomoea rubrocoerulea var. Praecox., rivea corymbosa.
