Any of the small, terrestrial bugs from the family Miridae of the suborder Heteroptera.

Mirid bugs include the plant bugs, leaf bugs and grass bugs. They are regarded as agricultural pests as they feed on tissues of important crops. Examples of mirid bugs are lygus bugs, mosquito bugs, leaf bugs, and green mirids.
