microscope, X-ray

(Science: microscopy) A device for producing enlarged images of a specimen by means of X rays. Dioptric systems, analogous to light microscopes, are not available, but contact microradiography, point-projection, and reflection techniques (which see) provide practical alternatives.

Recommendations for Bacteria Detection?

... with fertilizer, soaps, etc... Is there some kind of quick test that can help me out with that? Or is the best way to get some sort of field microscope and put a sample on a glass slide? Thank you very much for your expertise! Lodestone

Zeiss, Nikon and Leica are good names in microscopy. If you can afford them, start there. If you are after lots of magnification, I'd look for a 100X objective and 10x ocular configuration. There is no point in more magnification, you are reaching the limit of resolution of an optical scope. Conside...
