meromyosin

(Science: protein) fragments of myosin formed by trypsin digestion. Heavy meromyosin (HMM) has the hinge region and aTPase activity, light meromyosin (LMM) is mostly _ helical and is the portion normally laterally associated with other LMM to form the thick filament itself.
