meningioma

(Science: oncology, tumour) Common benign brain tumours that arise from the pia-arachnoid cells of the meninges. Meningiomas tend to occur along the superior sagittal sinus, along the sphenoid ridge or in the vicinity of the optic chiasm.

... not right. Brain tumors DO metastasize. But the fact is that the person usually dies before metastasis. Plus, some benign tumors in brain, such as meningioma (hope I remember its english name right), can metastasize too. This is what a neurosurgery professor said.
