Manganic

(Science: chemistry) Of, pertaining to resembling, or containing, manganese; specif, designating compounds in which manganese has a higher valence as contrasted with manganous compounds. Cf. Manganous. Manganic acid, an acid, H2MnO4, formed from manganese, analogous to sulphuric acid.
