(Science: chemistry) a yellow dyestuff obtained from the foliage of the dyer's broom (reseda luteola).

Origin: From NL. Reseda luteola, fr. L. Luteolus yellowish, fr. Luteus: cf. F. Luteoline. See Luteous.
