Lotion

1. A washing, especially of the skin for the purpose of rendering it fair.

2. A liquid preparation for bathing the skin, or an injured or diseased part, either for a medicinal purpose, or for improving its appearance.

Origin: L. Lotio, fr. Lavare, lotum, to wash: cf. F. Lotion. See Lave to wash.

I can't see a scientific basis for a lot of lotions and potions used on skin today I think the only way to tone up loose skin after weight loss is by exercise although I can understand the difficulty with it being facial. I would discuss it with ...

Loose Skin

... loose skin on my cheeks from losing 60 lbs 2 years ago. I was wondering if these loose skin cells are dead cells and whether applying creams and lotions containing aloe vera, lactic acids, and etc. will have an impact on it.
