Dictionary » L » Lights LightsDefinition noun, singular: light (1) The plural form of light, especially one pertaining to the source or mechanical device that gives out light. (2) The lungs, especially the lungs of a butchered animal, such as sheep, pig, etc.
The term lights used to refer to the lungs is due to the relatively lower in weight compared to other adjacent internal organs of the animal.
