Leucocyte

Blood cells that engulf and digest bacteria and fungi; an important part of the body's defense system.Another name for white blood cells or leukocytes, a type of cell that is used in an immune response. They can be differentiated into two groups, granulocytes and agranulocytes, where the former is found more frequently.
