Dictionary » L » L chain L chainL chain (Science: immunology) Although light chains are found in many multimeric proteins, l chain usually refers to the light chains of immunoglobulins. These are of 22 kd and of one of two types, kappa or lambda. A single immunoglobulin has identical light chains (2 kappa or 2 lamda). Light chains have one variable and one constant region. There are isotype variants of both kappa and lamda. ![]()

Results from our forummutations and dependencies... omit the complete absence of a genetic mechanism for adding NEW things like biochemical pathways (ie krebs, glycolysis, electron transport chain), organ systems (intestines, livers, kidneys, adrenals, etc). Mutations= mistakes. Hospitals are full of people with mutations dying of cancer ...

Energy; respiration and photosynthesisHi guys, I have a question concerning this statement about energy losses in food chains: "Any energy transferred in respiration is lost to the environment or used in movement etc. and so is no longer available to subsequent organisms in the food chain and therefore ...

Food WebIMHO it should be consumed <- consumer, so that "lower" levels of food chain are lower as is usually depicted. Anyway, fungus cannot be the one who is only consumed, no matter which one is it (either II or V)

The A1 portion of the A subunit is an enzyme that ADP-ribosylates G proteins, while the A2 chain fits into the central pore of the B subunit ring. Upon binding, the complex is taken into the cell via receptor-mediated endocytosis. Once inside ...
