(Science: physiology) An instrument for measuring, and recording graphically, the pressure of the blood in any of the blood vessels of a living animal.

Synonym: kymographion.

Origin: gr. Wave _ -graph.

I was having the same problem. I just found this article, and it explains very clearly how a kymograph is used to measure protein localization / movement (microtubules included) within a living cell. http://www.columbia.edu/cu/biology/faculty/bulinski/Watermanetal.98.pdf

Kymograph

Do you guys know any good sources of information that describes how a kymograph is used to visualize microtubules? I googled kymograph and I either got a bunch of esoteric science papers or some simplistic explanation on wikipedia which didnt help much
