Jugal ligament --> cricopharyngeal ligament

(Science: anatomy) An elastic band connecting the tip of the corniculate (Santorini's) cartilage and the lamina of the cricoid cartilage and continuing into the pharyngeal mucosa covering the cricoid lamina.

Synonym: ligamentum cricopharyngeum, corniculopharyngeal ligament, cricosantorinian ligament, jugal ligament, ligamentum corniculopharyngeum, ligamentum jugale.
