Interferometry

(Science: radiobiology) method of gathering information about a medium by using an interferometer or similar technique.

optical - uses light as the wave to be interfered.

Microwave - uses microwaves instead. Microwave interferometry is especially useful in plasma physics for measuring plasma densities.
