Re: Re:... compared to breathing? No significant amount of oxygen is provided by food. Fill your lungs with water and you will die. Even if you manage to infuse your gut with as much oxygen as you can without blowing up. NOT a good idea.

Re: Deproteinizing plasma?Yes, blood plasma. I need to infuse radiolabelled glucose in vivo and measure hepatic glucose production. I am just not sure the best way to deproteinize the blood to get the infused glucose vs. blood glucose values?
