Imbed --> embed

to surround a pathological or histological specimen with a firm and sometimes hard medium such as paraffin, wax, celloidin, or a resin, in order to make possible the cutting of thin sections for microscopic examination.

Synonym: imbed.

another idea?

I think its called burkholder agar assay where you pour a plate using soft agar and imbed test bug in the agar and plate different cells on top. Looks for soluble agents.
