Hyposulphite

1. (Science: chemistry) a salt of what was formerly called hyposulphurous acid; a thiosulphate.

2. (Science: photography) sodium hyposulphite, or thiosulphate, a solution of which is used as a bath to wash out the unchanged silver salts in a picture.
