Why isn't injection given into artery rather than vein?

Fine. Hypodermic placed into an artery, which is harder to find than a vein. This hurts. Blood taken out under pressure and tested for 02 content among other things. Leaves a bruise for weeks. Please explain your above statement ...

Why isn't injection given into artery rather than vein?

Fine. Hypodermic placed into an artery, which is harder to find than a vein. This hurts. Blood taken out under pressure and tested for 02 content among other things. Leaves a bruise for weeks.
