Either of the two large bones of the pelvis, each made up of three large bones, the ilium, ischium, and pubis.


Supplement

The hip bone is made up of three parts, the ilium, ischium, and pubis. The three bones are distinct while young and fuse when adult.

Can anyone identify this bone...

The only bones I can think of that curve like that are phalanges supporting claws or possibly part of a rib, although these ar not normally so smoothly round, Are you sure it is a bone?
