noun, plural: helper T lymphocytes

A form of T lymphocyte that acts in conjunction with B lymphocytes to permit antibody formation.


Supplement

This type of T lymphocyte releases lymphokines upon stimulation of specific antigens to promote the activation of B lymphocytes as well as killer T lymphocytes.
