Heidelberg man



The hominid belonging to the species group of Homo heidelbergensis (after the University of Heidelberg), based on the archeological evidence (a jawbone) excavated near Heidelberg, Germany in 1907. 


This Homo species used to live in Europe between 600,000 and 400,000 years ago.
